Cheesy movie plots

God, aren't those letters up there so annoying??? Apparently we've abandoned all grammar and spelling techniques on the internet.

I'll start off with an introduction. My name is MADDIE. I live in California. I like to sing and dance (actually not really) and think and listen to music and watch television and read.

Anyways, Elle Fanning, Dakota's little sister, is going to star in a movie called Somewhere. Now, I have nothing against Elle or Dakota, but it's the movie's plot that I find to be absolutely disgusting. Think of the cheesiest, most overused plotline ever. It's not a romantic comedy.

That's right. It's a movie about a kid who meets their dad and the dad is forced to change his lifestyle because of this surprising change. In the end, all is good and the father and daughter/son has a wonderful, loving relationship with their father, who is emotionally and financially able to take care of him/her.

Does anyone else hate movies like this? Audiences seem to eat it up. :(

And then there's the classic romantic comedy formula. *Disclaimer: there are many other formulas, however, this seems to be the most common.
A hard-working (usually at a magazine) urban young 30 something woman is single. She wants to meet "the one". She meets a guy, usually by bumping into him on the street or at some sort of bad date with another guy. She thinks about him, he calls her back. They realize that they love eachother. Along the way, her gay best friend or straight female friend encourages her to "go for it". But then the guy makes some sort of mistake in the relationship. There is a sad montage, usually showing the characters in a really nice apartment being sad. Then one of them has some sort of revelation and they get back together, and possibly get married. The end.

Anyways, I have to work on my english paper >:(
